Well, I have about 8 years of total IT experience. I started my career as a Web designer where I used to design web sites using HTML, JavaScript, Photoshop, I mean mostly static web sites..
Then after 2 years I got an opportunity to develop dynamic web applications using ColdFusion, and from then I have been working as a ColdFusion developer using databases Oracle, MySql and SQl server.
The typical ColdFusion tasks I have done over these 6 years are Application development i.e building Coldfusion pages, Coldfusion Components(CFCs), Functions, Custom tags, and many other common tasks that any Coldfusion developer need to do. And apart from these common Coldfusion tasks, I worked on many database related tasks also as part of the application, such as creating and modifying database tables, writing Stored procedures, triggers and maintaining some database schedule tasks for generating reports for the clients.
My current project involved in both maintenance and enhancements, like whenever there is a problem in the existing production site, we receive tickets from customers and I fix them depending upon the priority of the requests. Apart from these regular maintenance tasks, I get tickets for adding new functionality or enhancing the existing functionality to the current application.
We use fusebox methodology 3.0 and Coldfusion version 8.0 and Database SQl server 2005. And IIS is our web server in the production environment, and we also use CVS subversion for version control, and Quality center for defect tracking.
